Position: Operations Supervisor

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the operations and preventative maintenance of the wastewater treatment, solids processing and biosolids disposal functions of the facility as well as the day-to-day supervision of the facility operation personnel.

EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalency; Bachelor's Degree in natural sciences or related field desired.

TRAINING/SKILLS

• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain within one year, the IDEM Class III Municipal Wastewater Operator Certificate
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment technology, including equipment, process, theory and problem identification and solution
• Ability to perform arithmetic, algebra and geometric problems
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, other departments, contractors, consultants and the public
• Formal supervisory or management training desirable

HOURS
Regular Full-time: 40 hrs./week, subject to weekend, holiday and night on-call duty 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (30 minute paid lunch)

ANNUAL SALARY
The maximum pay for this position is $54,457.52, depending on qualifications.
