PRESIDENT’S WELCOMEOur water and wastewater industry is no exception to the rules of “change.” We are constantly learning about new technologies and processes that require us to rethink how we do things. The IWEA History Committee is bearing witness to this as they work diligently to collect information to record the changes within our association and our industry over the last seventy-five years. Each of these changes has required us to become more informed and educated to discover how these new technologies apply to the systems and methods of how we operate. Through participation in IWEA, we all have the opportunity to learn and share collectively so that we can benefit from the knowledge we gain. I hope that each of you will take full advantage of the different educational opportunities that are hosted by IWEA. Whether it is through attending our seminars and conferences, or by reading the articles, reports and papers—there is an endless wealth of information to be enjoyed. Thank you for your commitment to the IWEA and the water and wastewater industry. With your continued commitment, you really can make all the difference in the world. - IWEA President, Ted Merrell |
